A Fight for Environmental Justice: A Tale of Two Communities
The New York HEAN sites, Hispanic Federation and UPROSE work with youth and community volunteers at select schools on a Pollution-Free School Zones Effort, where students measure the air and water pollution levels in local schools. The two organizations developed a documentary “The Fight for Environmental Justice: A Tale of Two Communities.” This documentary raises awareness of the detrimental impacts of air pollution from vehicle emissions and other sources and how we can develop comprehensive strategies for community environmental health.
