HEAN's mobile pollution monitoring initiative is empowering community members to be scientists. Armed with state-of-the-art Eco-Pacs, complete with mobile pollution sensors and GPS devices, residents are investigating the air and water quality in their neighborhoods. Video cameras allow them to shine a spotlight on environmental hazards, which too often go ignored.

HEAN is currently launched in four local organizations: the Brownsville Community Health Center in Brownsville, Texas; the Community Health and Social Services Center in Detroit, Michigan; UPROSE in Brooklyn, New York; and Salud Para La Gente in Watsonville, California.
